Guidelines
Welcome to Forever Rail! We require all users to register in order to take part in what all Forever Rail has to offer. Once registering, we ask that all users review and confirm that they understand our terms of membership in order to promote a friendly, professional, and laid back environment for everyone to enjoy. These apply within our servers, TeamSpeak, and community platform. We do not currently offer any social media connections so these do not apply until such connections are created until such time our team deems them necessary.
Forever Rail Communities requires that users be 16 years of age or older.
By registering and agreeing to these terms, you agree to the following rules are enforced at all times within our servers (Southwest Division, Southeast Division, Northwest Division, and Northeast Division) and all users must abide by them at all times. If you do not agree to any of these rules then we ask that you do not partake within the simulated worlds that Forever Rail offers, violators are subject to discipline on all our outlets (Discord and website):
- Livestreaming your activity within our servers is allowed with one exception; You must NOT give away our private server information as it is not acceptable and will result in your removal from Forever Rail.
- All users must be able to communicate rather it be with the in-game text function or within TeamSpeak or both. If you are called out by staff and do not reply after a moment or so, you may be dropped off the server.
- All users must assign an avatar username in the simulator before joining any of our servers. Anyone found to be using the default name "None" maybe dropped from the server. - When first entering the server ask if there is a Dispatcher active before deciding to move, line, or spawn trains. If a Dispatcher is active, always ask for permission before moving or spawning a train, if a dispatcher is On-Duty do not line any signals.
- Don't spawn a train in front of another players train, be kind and courteous and do it farther down the line or within a siding that is unoccupied when applicable within the server. Obey all speed limits! - Obey all signal indications!
- Do not leave any mainline handthrow switches open, when you're done occupying a mainline handthrow make sure you "line, lock, verify" it's restored to "normal".
- Obey "one-way" or "directional" running rules where applicable.
- Do not change the Hump Controller Track Tags. These are only set by the Community Staff, unless other permission(s) are granted.
- Do not leave the AI spawner on if you're the last member on an instance, please be sure to turn it off before you hop off for the night.
- If the AI spawner is left on overnight it causes a massive traffic jam, failure to do so will result in a log check in which the last member mentioned will be subject to appropriate discipline.
- Do not be that guy spawning in countless trains and expecting other people online to do the trimming and building of trains. Yards begin overflowing and nerves get plucked, be respectful and also responsible for the messes you make.
- If you wish to RP MoW work on the server that does not pertain to operating a MoW train you need to have MoW Foreman in your player tag. You will also need to work with the DS to aquire "track and time" for your work.
- Dispatchers are not allowed to operate a train while dispatching. (ONLY EXCEPTION IS IF YOU'RE OPERATING THE HUMP AND MOVING THE RCO SETS INTO POSITION TO SHOVE CUTS OF CARS).
- You must have DS in your name in-game when operating as a dispatcher, If you wish to only DS a specific portion please include the desk/subdivision in which you're in control.
- Any type of activity that simulates road crossing incidents, pedestrian incidents, or anything else that relates to this that may result in injury or loss of life is entirely prohibited.
- Use common sense when operating on any of Forever Rails servers, if isn't okay anywhere else then it isn't okay here.
- Do not tamper with other players trains, you wouldn't want someone messing with yours and disrupt what you are doing so don't mess with someone else's.
- Please do not engage in conversations about politics, religion, or any other sensitive topic. These topics can be hot topics, so please take these discussions elsewhere.
- Please do not post/say/share anything which is inappropriate in a family setting. This includes, but is not limited to, profanity, sexual, sexualized or illicit content, hateful, threatening, provocative or vulgar content, links and websites and discussion encouraging the use of piracy or warez distributions, or any otherwise illegal content.
Three Strike System
Forever Rail operates under a 'Three Strike System' which includes:
- 1st Strike - Verbal/Written
- 2nd Strike - Verbal/Written + timed out of server up to but not limited to 24hrs
- 3rd Strike - PermaBan
We don't want to ban anyone, but we are also not afraid to get rid of troublemakers that cause problems. We're relaxed here and want to have fun, so all we ask is that you abide by and keep in mind the above basic rules. If you see someone breaking a rule (including staff) do not hesitate to call them out to correct it. If the member proceeds to keep violating any of the above DM a staff member with Name, Time, What rule was being broken, and Division Instance and we'll begin our part. We're a community, without the members we cannot build anything up. Let's keep things chill here and have fun to make this a good server for many to enjoy.
